there is a problem because the idx file has chinese as the first subtitle and english as a second preference. So Is there any way to change the settings so that the chinese gets deleted and the final avi only shows the english subtitle ?

I already set Laguange to English(united kingdom) but in the preview the file there is only chinese subtitle showing up.

Can not thank you enough. I literally spent 6 hours last night trying to find free soft ware that would function on my computer and to no avail all were either bugged or would not run on a 64 bit system. Tonight I decided to google 'merge avi with srt' with 'software' on the end, this page was the first to pop up and saved me more hours of stress, plus the walkthrough was awesome. Thank you so much!!!
